Erasmus+ Training on Centralized Actions Took Place in Bucharest
Between 9 and 15 September 2024, a training course was held in Bucharest, Romania, as part of a project by Know and Can. The course was titled:
"Empowering Futures: Mastering Erasmus Grants for Vocational Excellence and Innovation"
The training brought together participants from diverse professional backgrounds to deepen their understanding of Erasmus+ centralized actions. The aim was to enhance the capacity of organizations to navigate EU funding mechanisms and strategically align with European priorities.
The program began with an introduction to European policies, covering the current priorities of the European Commission and their reflection in centralized funding schemes. Participants examined how their institutions’ goals could align with EU policy directions, identifying key synergies and policy gaps.
Subsequent sessions focused on the distinct features of centralized funding compared to decentralized actions. Special emphasis was placed on application strategies, assessment criteria, and expected outcomes.
Hands-on activities included:
-
Budget simulation exercises;
-
Evaluation of real project proposals;
-
Creative workshops on proposal writing;
-
Training in financial planning and reporting;
-
Work with examples from completed EU projects.
One of the highlights was the workshop on financial reporting, where participants analyzed real documentation. This helped them understand the importance of transparency and accuracy in reporting, and how reports function as tools of accountability.
The program concluded with an analysis of evaluation results from the 2023/2024 project calls. Participants reviewed assessors' feedback, gaining valuable insights into how to improve future proposals.
This training also fostered new partnerships, professional connections, and the exchange of good practices.
The training was organized as part of project contract No. 2023-1-BG01-KA121-ADU-000130182, implemented under the Erasmus+ programme in the field of adult education.
